It's unbelievable how these rocks feel like velvet! If you are on Washington Island, you have to stop and touch one!
A gorgeous place where time seems to have stopped.
They say these are some of the smoothest rocks in the world. I scoffed, "They are rocks, how smooth can they really be?"
This place is simply a gem. Beautiful blue water, smooth pebbled peach, located in a protected bay. Bathrooms were clean, parking space was abundant (just a had to walk a little ways down the gravel road through a pretty cedar forest).

Amazing glacial formation of limestone rock beach!! But do NOT take a rock home with you. They cannot be replaced (and there is a 250 fine!). Build cairns, have a picnic, dip your toes in the cold, clear water!
Nice place to see but there were spiders everywhere. I felt like there were more than normal. I would not be able to relax by the beach or water because of this. But I'm sure it would not bother everyone.
